There are several unique features about the construction of the Veteran’s Reception Center building from its complex front façade that’s intended to create a sense of pride as veterans visit the building, to its energy efficient features including geothermal and LED lighting inside and out. The building includes conference rooms, a banquet hall area, a full kitchen including a dining area and memorial gardens on the west side of the project site. There are countless design professionals, suppliers, contractors, legion members, community members and organizations who have provided in-kind and monetary donations to make this project a reality. One of the main purposes of the building is to provide a free of charge place for veteran’s families to gather together to remember them as they are laid to rest at the State Veteran’s Cemetery, just one mile north of the project. In addition, profits from the rental of the building will be filtered back into the community through local American Legion Post 403 through scholarships, community projects and the like. Edge Companies is proud to have fully donated all construction management services to this project.
